University of the Fraser Valley (UCV) (former name: University College of the Fraser Valley) is situated on the Fraser River of British Columbia, its three campuses are just an hour's drive from Vancouver, in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. These cities have a lower Asian population than does Vancouver and are filled with public facilities, including libraries, movie theatres, recreation centers, and other entertainment spots, as well as hospitals. At UFV, students can choose an area of study out of the institute's twelve undergraduate programs, more than eighty certificate and diploma programs (including Agriculture, Aircraft, Business Administration, Information Systems, Criminology, and Fashion Design), and various ESL programs.
