ESL program is back to VCC !

New ESL program for International students has been offered at Vancouver Community College now!

VCC offers…….
 1. 3 intakes in a year (September, January, and April)
 2. ESL classes at the Broadway and Downtown campuses.
 3. ESL plus conditional admission into the college career and university transfer programs.
 4. College Preparatory English & First Year University English courses.
 5. part-time and full-time ESL programs.
 6. Intensive skills courses that can focus on specific skills of English

There are part-time and full-time courses from Literacy to Advanced levels.

General courses focus on the four basic language skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing. At the end of each term, students are assessed to determine an appropriate placement for the following term.

Beginner Levels

(Upper Beginner)

-These classes teach English for everyday life or other situations of interest to students in the class. Students practice listening, speaking, and some reading and writing.

Intermediate Levels

-Intermediate level classes help students improve listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. Completion of intermediate levels can allow students to  enroll in some of the full-time
Programs at VCC.

Advanced Levels

(Lower Advanced, Upper Advanced)

-These classes provides students with a high level of English and can allow students to progress to academic English and career preparation courses and programs.

Intensive courses offers students who want to improve their specific skills.
