How to choose an ESL program? (The wise selection of a ESL school)

There are various English schools in Canada. They have original programs and character. Let's choose your suitable school and improve your English skills.
General English General English courses are suitable for students who want to learn grammar, reading, writing, and speaking. Students can take elective subjects such as pronunciation, Business English, listening, TOEIC, and TOEFL besides mandatory subjects. Students are placed in each level. Each class of students is 10 students on average, but sometimes as high as 15 students in the peak season. In medium and big schools you are likely to meet students of many different nationalities.
Focused on Speaking and Pronunciation If you want to focus on learning conversation and pronunciation, speaking or pronunciation courses or schools are suitable for you. Conversation class focuses on only speaking. First the students learn short expressions, and then they practise how to express their opinions through presentation. Students on pronunciation courses check and correct how to move mouth muscles using a mirror.
Focused on Listening Students in listening class learn listening and vocabulary through radio and lectures and watching TV. When the students repeat listening practice, they can get explanations from instructors who are native English speakers. Therefore, listening programs are practical.
Business English Recently many international companies have required recruits to have basic English skills. Even though a lot of people speak English, they do not have enough business skills in English. Learning about business manners and documents in English is very helpful for future employment.
TOEIC / TOEFL / IELTS TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS are usually part-time programs of 3 or 4 hours per day. So it is common for many students take these programs together with another program. The students will improve English conversation and writing skills through a lot of exercises and conversation with instructors. Some schools teach speaking as well in these programs.
Acting Acting programs are good for students who want to learn English with fun. There are a lot of places that we need to express our opinion all over the world, even though it is very hard. Trying to speak with gestures is more important than learning grammar for language learners. Students will have lots of chance to speak on this kind of course.
